Set the format before the first serve, then tap each point as the match unfolds. Pen up tallies the games, sets, and deuce — you stay in the rally.
Pen up records what happened. It doesn't grade you, coach you, or guess who'll win — it just counts, the way a paper scorecard always did.
Best of N, points to win, win-by-2, tie-break. Lock in the rules before the first serve so the sheet always knows the truth.
One tap per point as the match plays out. Pen up tallies games, sets, and deuce instantly so you never lose the count.
Misfire a tap? Undo is right there, built for the speed of real play — because this is a tool you use mid-rally, not after.
At match point the sheet is sealed — a dated, numbered document you keep. No charts, no percentages, no second-guessing.
No account, no sync, no connection required. Pen up works in any corner of any court, dead zone or not.
Nothing tracks you and nothing is sold. Just paper that counts — quiet, private, and entirely yours.
A working scorekeeper — points, games, sets, deuce, win-by-2 and a tie-break at 6–6. Tap to score, swap the format, and undo any mistap. This is the rhythm of the real app.
Best of 3 sets · win-by-2 · tie-break at 6–6. The real app keeps every sealed sheet — this one is just a taste of the count.
We're a small crew of racket-sport players who build software between matches. Pen up started courtside, out of one nagging frustration: every scorekeeping app wanted to be a coach, a statistician, and a billboard at once — when all we ever needed was something that simply counts.
Our mission is to give the honest paper scoresheet a second life. Set the format before the first serve, then tap each point as the match unfolds. Pen up keeps games, sets, and deuce in order while your attention stays where it belongs: on the next rally.
That means a tool built for the speed of real play. The Undo button is large, obvious, and always within thumb's reach, because mistaps happen mid-rally, not in hindsight. When the last point lands, your sheet is sealed into a dated, numbered record — no charts, no percentages, no opinions about which side you supposedly play better on.
Pen up doesn't grade you, coach you, or guess the winner. It just remembers what happened.
Just paper that counts.
Pen up — Live Score Sheet is built on one straightforward promise: we don't collect, store, or transmit any of your data. Everything the app does happens locally, on your device, and stays there. Here's what that means in practice.
Nothing. Pen up has no accounts, no sign-up, and no login. We don't ask for your name, email, phone number, or location, and we run no analytics, telemetry, or hidden tracking. The information you create while using the app — your chosen match format, the points you tap, and the games, sets, and deuce it tallies, along with each sealed, numbered scoresheet — is generated and held entirely on your device. We never see it.
Because we collect nothing, there's nothing for us to use, analyze, profile, or sell. Every feature — scoring, tally counting, undo, and sealing a finished match into a dated record — runs on-device. None of it depends on a server we operate, and none of it sends your activity anywhere.
Your scoresheets and settings are stored locally in the app's own storage on your device. There is no cloud backup, no remote database, and no synchronization to any server. Your data never leaves your phone unless you deliberately export or share a sheet yourself using your device's own tools.
Pen up contains no third-party analytics, no advertising networks, no trackers, and no embedded marketing SDKs. We haven't integrated outside services that could observe how you use the app. There are no ads to serve and no partners to share data with.
Since your information never travels off your device, the surface for interception is minimal by design. Your scoresheets are as secure as the device they live on, protected by the same lock screen, encryption, and access controls you already use. We hold no copy of your data that could ever be breached on our side.
Pen up doesn't collect personal information from anyone, and that includes children under the age of 13. The app requires no account and gathers no identifying details, keeping it aligned with COPPA principles. It's safe for a young player to use to keep score without any data being created about them off-device.
You're in complete control of everything in the app. Your scoresheets remain yours and stay on your device. To remove all app data, simply delete Pen up — because there are no accounts and no backups on our end, uninstalling permanently clears the information it held. Nothing is left behind on a server to request or erase.
If we ever update this policy, we'll revise the Effective Date above so the current version is always clear. Any changes will continue to honor the same core commitment: Pen up does not collect, store, or transmit your data.
Questions about this policy are welcome at privacy@penupapp.com.
